Karl Kiarie is the inspiration behind Kreativ Sound Lab and started his musical journey at 9 years old when he played his first piano concert. Born in Nottingham, UK and raised in Nairobi, Kenya, he has cultivated his musical ear over the years to eventually create an open, free-flowing sound influenced by RnB, Gospel, Hip Hop, Neo Soul with hints of popular African styles such as Afrobeat and Zouk. He has always maintained a keen interest in creating sounds that reflect his mixed UK and Kenyan background. He has had experience as a Music Director and has also played with some upcoming Gospel choirs in the UK.
Kreativ Sound Lab is aimed at creating unique beats for artists, commercials, jingles and other creative media uses with a keen focus on showcasing and promoting the unique mix of styles that characterize his music. He currently lives in Guildford, Surrey with his wife and daughter.
