Mahrad is a rebel with a cause. Born in Iran, he moved to California at the age of 4 where he has lived ever since. While growing up, he and his friends often talked about making music, but didn't know how until one friend found and bought a used keyboard at a garage sale. Mahrad fell in love with making music as soon as he first put his hands on that keyboard. This prompted him to beg his father for his own. Finally, after a few months, his father bought him one and he immediately sat down to write and produce his first song. Mahrad was in the 5th grade. By the time he started high school he was already producing music using computer programs and was known around school for his free-styling skills. Unfortunately, at this same time Mahrad had to put his dreams on hold for a couple of years because of problems at home. Nevertheless, he used that time to write down ideas for songs, and to dream big dreams about the future. Now that Mahrad has made it through this difficult period and managed to put the problems that come with drastic changes in lifestyle aside, he is once again happily pursuing his musical ambitions. Mahrad is a man of peace fed up with the way the world works and has found music as a good output for his deep seated emotions. From his very personal experiences he has come to realize that music has the distinct capability of lifting ones soul when they are down and can open ones eyes to new perspectives on difficult situations. Some of Mahrad's musical influences are 2pac, Nirvana, Bob Marley and Depeche Mode, but if his music had to be labeled he would place himself in the hip-hop genre. Unlike many, Mahrad is not making music to live but rather living to make music to spread the message of hope, love, and revolution. It is only a matter of time before he is heard.
