Bio
Also known as EDP-Beats and Just Eric, Eric Dubois is a French-American music producer born and raised in Dourdan, just south of Paris. His passion for music was ignited when he first picked up a guitar after being introduced to punk rock by a childhood friend. For over a decade, he played guitar and wrote songs in the pop-punk band The Creaps.
In 2014, Eric began his journey into music production in Argentina, which he fondly calls his "YouTube Academy years." In 2017, he moved to Hawaii, where he put his knowledge into practice, securing TV placements with National Geographic, Discovery Channel, and TLC, as well as a Tazo Tea ad featuring the artist SZA.
In 2020, Eric founded his own publishing company, Our Altered State. Eric’s musical style is a chill blend of hip-hop and indie rock, with an impressive ability to create beats on the fly by playing his own live loops in Ableton.
He draws inspiration from musicians and producers like Rick Rubin, John Frusciante, The Arctic Monkeys, and James Brown. Eric is also known for his resourcefulness, having built his own mobile recording studio in Hawaii.
He currently works at Ableton as VIP Tech Support, providing expert assistance to artists such as Louis the Child, Bonobo, Federico Vindver, and NoFX.
As an artist and producer, Eric hopes to inspire others to embrace their own creativity and individuality.
