Bold N Courageous Beats was founded by Willetta Halsey in February 2016, born out of a passion for music and a desire to fill a gap in the industry. Frustrated with empty promises from producers, Willetta took matters into her own hands after attending the Canton Jones Music Conference. Starting with GarageBand on an iPad, she discovered a natural talent for producing.

Music has always been in her blood. Growing up, her father was a DJ with a vast collection of vinyl records, exposing her to legends like James Brown and Dave Brubeck. Her mother, a hip-hop and pop enthusiast, introduced her to everything from Rick Astley to Sir Mix-A-Lot. Moving to Georgia in 1995, Willetta fell in love with the sounds of the Dungeon Family, 8-Ball & MJG, and bass-heavy beats.
