Mad Scientific Productions took shape in 1999, built around a sample-driven approach to production and the East Coast boom-bap sound of the era.

Working primarily with the Akai MPC 2000XL, MSP developed a sound rooted in digging and chopping records, dusty textures, and hard-hitting drums. That approach led to producing The 911 Report in its entirety for Lost Children of Babylon, followed by additional production work and releases over the years.

While the pace of releasing music changed, the work never stopped. Production continued independently, building a catalog that spans more than two decades.

Years later, nearly losing that catalog became a turning point. What started as an effort to recover and preserve years of work became the catalyst for formally establishing Mad Scientific Productions and putting the proper structure behind the music.

Today, MSP is focused on original production for artists, direct independent licensing, and music for film, sync, and multimedia—expanding into original instrumentation and source material while staying rooted in the sound that started it all.
